Graphic design is both an art, and a skill. If you are not an artist or skilled, then please close Photoshop, pick up your wallet, and contact me (or some other professional)

Just because you scored a bootleg copy of PS or your friend is "amazing" with Microsoft word does not mean you should design your next project. (whatever that project might be)

Also there is a standard in this industry just like every other industry, just because you saw some one with hideous Affliction style grunge everywhere, or bright neon backgrounds does not mean that style is good.

Good design standards may vary from time to time, but the core principles will stay the same. 

Classy is always greater than popular.
